Christmas Appeal and Visit of Father Christmas
Father Christmas has told us that his sleigh has been MOT tested and is good to go. He is looking forward to touring the streets of Horley this December arriving on the 6th and will be with us until Christmas Eve when he must quickly return to get ready for distributing all the presents.
He will be outside
Waitrose
Saturday 16th December between 9:00 and 17:00
Sunday 17th December between 10:00 and 16:00
Tesco Gatwick
Friday 22nd December between 10:00 and 16:00
Saturday 23rd December between 10:00 and 16:00
Collingwood Batchellor
Sunday 24th December between 10:00 and 14:00
He will also be touring the streets of Horley between Wednesday 6th and Wednesday 20th December. Despite the nightly routes being long, we try to ensure that we have finished by 20:30. In doing so, Father Christmas has said that it will not always be possible to stop and chat to individual children, however we will try and make a short stop, if a group of children have gathered providing, of course, it is safe to do so. This year we are proposing to have a few Santa Stops on some routes, and are grateful to JamesDean Estate Agents as they have agreed to position these signs in areas where we find it difficult to reach all children due to difficulties when manoeuvring the sleigh. If you have such a sign near your house why not collect together at that point to give Father Christmas a real welcome. Our collectors armed with buckets or cans will be outside the stores as well as accompanying Father Christmas on his rounds they will also have card readers should you be short of cash!! However you opt to donate please remember that all donation will be credited to our charity account, with the proceeds distributed to individuals, organisations and charities that serve our community. -
